Casey's Street Department has begun leaf vacuum operations.
In order to be collected, leaves must be raked to the edge of the road on non-curbed streets, and up to the curb on curbed streets. Streets, sidewalks, gutters and ditches are to be kept clear of leaves for safety and drainage purposes. Vehicles should be kept clear of leaf piles. Brush and other yard/garden waste cannot be picked up with loose leaves. The City will continue to pick up brush and bagged leaves/yard waste on Mondays, which is the designated day for courtesy brush removal.
The City will be divided into four sections by Main St. and Central Ave., with the following pick-up schedule:
NOTICE: Effective July 1st, 2011, trash/recycling pick up on the South side of Main St. and to the South will be on Fridays. The North side of Main St. and to the North will remain on Wednesdays.
