The largest golf tee measures 30 ft. 9 in. long with a head diameter of 6 ft. 3 in. and a shaft width of 2 ft. 1 in. It was hand-crafted from yellow pine by Jim Bolin and was presented and measured in Casey, Illinois, USA, on 29 January 2013.
The World's Largest Knitting Needles & World's Largest Crochet Hook were crafted by Jim Bolin of Bolin Enterprises, Inc. as a gift for Jeanette Huisinga of The Yarn Studio. On May 20, 2013, Jeanette knit and crocheted tension squares per Guinness rules in front of a crowd of elementary students.
"I want the children to see that they can set a goal and pursue a dream," said Huisinga.
The pitchfork in Casey was the first to set the record. In order to qualify, it had to be 10X larger than the original pitchfork.

With chimes suspended 49' above the ground, the BEI wind chime stands 55'3" tall and is a sight to behold! The longest of five chimes is 42' long - nearly double that of the previous world record holder. The chimes sing gentle and deep as they strike the clapper, long gleaming lengths of silver paying tribute to BEI's expertise in the pipeline industry!

The wooden shoes were pieced together by gluing boards side by side and one on top of the otehr then a chain saw and hand sanders were used to perfect its shape.

The rocking chair is made mostly of recycled material. All of the wood was slavaged from old telephone poles and metal pipes that were once used to transfer oil. The material cost was less that $1,000.00

Most everyone in the antique business knows me from the Casey Antique Centre. After 7 years of owning and operating the Centre, I closed it to help my son with his restaurant, The Greathouse of Pizza, here in Casey. And, I needed a break and time to reinvent myself. A lot of people wonder why the name Greathouse of Country. Very simple, my last name is spelled Groothuis but pronounced Greathouse and my true love is early American country.

The small Illinois town of Casey is rich in the tradition of amateur softball competition. On July 4, 1976, the original Casey Softball Museum was officially opened at the softball diamond in the southwest corner of Fairview Park. Since 1976, the museum has undergone some renovations and expanded in size dramatically. The latest evolution was the addition of the Illinois ASA Hall of Fame Museum which was celebrated with an Open House on July 3, 2010.
9 Holes. Mostly flat and fairly open, but enough trees give the holes some variety. OB paved roads and concrete sidewalks are in play on 7 of the holes. The pond near #6 and 7 does not come into play. #2 and 3 are closed during Saddle Club events, the third weekend of each summer month. There can also be campers parked on #3.
In 1996, the City of Casey entered into an intergovernmental agreement with the Casey Township Park District to operate, partially fund, and maintain Fairview Park. Fairview Park consists of 40 acres in the Southeast section of Casey with the following amenities: children's playground area, soccer area, skate park/bike park, basketball courts, bandstand, horse arena, horseshoe pitching court, tractor pull, a paved walking path, sunken flower garden, memorial garden, five pavilions with grills, several shaded picnic areas, twin ponds for fishing, as well as a nicely shaded campground facility with water and electrical hook-ups, dump station, fire pits, and restrooms and shower facility.
There are also four ball diamonds that are used by boys and girls summer leagues and travel teams, the Casey-Westfield junior high softball and baseball teams, Casey-Westfield high school softball teams, and recreational softball teams.
Also located in the Park is the Illinois Amateur Softball Association Hall of Fame and Museum along with the Casey Softball Association Hall of Fame.
